“The only person who is educated is the one who has learned how to learn and change.” – Carl Rogers
Welcome to the Galilee Institute for Human Development, Inc. The Galilee Center was established in 2008 by Loretta Simpson. In September 2013, the name was changed from the Galilee Center to the Galilee Institute for Human Development (GIFHD). Touching Lives - Build strong, forward-thinking and self-motivated students through direct, person-centered services, education empowerment, self-care, social awareness, and healthy living. It is our goal to bring solidarity to students by serving all social, cultural, and economic statuses by bridging the gap and creating an open dialogue that will empower students and invite positive change.
We are a person-centered organization that is focused on holistic health. We offer a holistic approach to well-being by helping students grade 8 through college to discover their purpose, set standards for their own lives and be open to change. We aim to decrease disparities for under-served students through holistic services.
